I am currently serving as the Managing Editor at Beverage Industry News (BIN), and often parlay my work on behalf of the wine and spirits industry into a variety of interesting consumer print and on-line projects.
In my work as a Los Angeles-based journalist and editor, I have had articles published nationally and internationally in LUCIRE, Harper’s Bazaar Malaysia, BeE Woman, FIT, Food & Beverage, Dining Out, Enchanted Bride, Las Vegas Bride, Las Vegas Woman, NUVO, Beverage Industry News, WhereLA, NEO, From House to HOME, Wedding Vow, Casa Y Hogar, La Reppublica, Beauty Store Business, Dayspa, JWest, Arizona Foothills, Estates West, SE7EN, Patterson’s Beverage Journal, Audrey, Boulevard and New You.
While food, wine, spirits and home improvement/decor stories make up much of my project load, I publish a significant number of stories regularly on Travel, Fashion, Health/Wellness, Philanthropy, Beauty, Spas, Jewish Topics, Celebrity Profiles, Entertainment, Charity Events and Weddings.
From 1995-2001, my career path took a detour, when I was recruited to work on the public relations and advertising side of the desk. During this time, I specialized in preparing media kits and business collateral for restaurants, wineries, food companies, film and television projects, fashion companies, retail stores and other lifestyle-oriented clients.
From 2002 forward, I have built up what I think of as a “content providing” business, using my vast network of contacts and sources to write solid, entertaining and informative copy for placement in different consumer and B-to-B publications. I also have the capabilities to create engaging materials for public relations and marketing purposes with a magazine style that appeals to readers looking for a sensory experience beyond the text.
Hi Elyse:
Remember me from the Winter Carnival Press Trip? I just read your article -it’s great. I’m heading back there on Thursday for the New France Festival-my first time there in summer!
What are you up to these days? Are you leaving LA? Any good press trips these days?
Take care,
Neilia Sherman
